In this case we consider the three-dimensional problem of dynamic elasticity for a half-space with a recessed cylindrical cavity. The load, applied to the boundary of the cavity, executes steady-state harmonic oscillations and uniform rectilinear motion parallel to the generator of the cylinder. The principle of superposition is employed in setting up a solution in the moving coordinate system associated with the region of application of the load. This makes it possible to reduce the boundary value problem to a system of six integral equations, in terms of whose solution the stress-strain state in the entire elastic region is described. We investigate the properties of the system and we propose a technique for setting up a solution.
