Blow molders equipped with new technology are launching into lucrative new markets for a diverse variety of products. The driving force behind this extrusion blow molding activity is the availability of new high-molecular-weight-high-density-polyethylenes and blow moldable engineering resins. Other factors fueling interest are lower tooling costs, fewer secondary operations, and product design flexibility. In this paper, the author discusses the various applications of blow molding and predicts a bright future.
