摘要
A design method of a return channel with continuous vanes in the U-turn bend is proposed. Three different return channels are tested by using two models of a double-stage reversible pump-turbine. A model with a return channel, which has small deceleration ratio of flow velocity on the inner wall of the U-turn bend, shows best performance. The performance of the return channel is predicted by the one dimensional loss analysis.
