Preliminary results on switching properties of barium-vanadata glasses (BVG) showed that the addition of CuO into BVG leads to the decrease of the threshold voltage and to stabilization of the I-V characteristics. The present work extends the study of BVG doped with copper by the investigation of the effects of the conditions of glass preparation on their electrical properties. The results are compared with ones for glasses of the system V//2O//5-TeO//2-CuO (VTCG). Some results on thin films prepared from BVG are presented.
