摘要
The '3rd International Conference on Hydraulic Descaling' was organised by the Society of Chemical Industries (SCI), the Steel Division of The Institute of Materials (IOM) and the IOM Communications Ltd. and took place on 14-15 September 2000 in London. Nearly 80 experts from 19 countries joined the Descaling Conference. In 18 reports important ideas due to efficient and effective hydraulic descaling under the aspect of saving energy, water and environmental issues for hot rolling had been given. The papers have shown that only by close cooperation between users, researchers, designers and suppliers of hydraulic descaling equipment advantages due to the technique and efficiency of hydraulic descaling can be reached. One topic of the conference was the reduction of tiger marks caused by descaling systems. These tiger marks are generated by overlapping descaling areas produced by individual nozzles. Another highlight was the use of sophisticated descaling nozzles providing higher pressure of impact in the descaling process.
