摘要
This report presents a clear evidence of the role of excitonic absorption in the saturable absorbers. A simple technique is developed for measuring the absorption spectra of mode-locked laser structures. The method uses a modified version of the two-section laser structure already presented. With this technique, the existence of exciton features and the absorption spectra with TE and TM polarizations under various saturable absorber reverse bias conditions are shown.
