Calculations of the dispersion characteristics of the phase velocity Vp of the zeroth antisymmetric mode of a three layer metal-polymer-metal structure as a function of the frequency omega according to the approximate and exact equations show good agreement up to the frequencies at which thickness resonance of the filter layer set in. It is pointed out that for the majority of practical situations the frequency of the first thickness resonance of the polymer layer occurs above the audible frequency range.
