摘要
With the new design of solid carbide drills, productivity is five to six times greater and tool life is extended 10 to 15 times over high speed drills. The full advantages of tungsten carbide, increased productivity and longer tool life, can be achieved in high production steel drilling applications. Sumitomo redesigned the carbide drill by analyzing all the features required for dilling, including rigidity, sharpness and chip control. The result was a unique cutting edge design and flute shape superior to conventional, twist drills. This design combined with improved coated carbide materials produced a highly efficient carbide drill for high production applications.
