摘要
The cost/price squeeze for mills finishing knit fabrics has been increased by petrochemical shortages and power costs. One way to minimize the effects of such increases is to assure that finished fabric yield is as specified. This goal can be achieved by a ″Fourth generation″ system with a digital computer - described in this article. The system uses a moving scanner, and sensors for width, temperature and moisture to feed the computer. The data-storage capability of the computer makes possible a number of management reports, and shows exactly where yield problems are occurring.
