摘要
The wear properties of diesel fuel fractions obtained by chromatographic technique were studied with the aid of HFR test machines. The results showed that the lubricity of the fractions was enhanced with their polarity; wear was increased by poly-cyclic aromatics at low concentration but reduced when the concentration went high; mono- and di-cyclic aromatics had little influence on wear. The polar impurities and poly-cyclic aromatics should thus be considered as the most valuable natural lubricity additives in fuels. A preliminary discussion was given to the lubrication mechanism of aromatics and it was proposed to elucidate the above mentioned phenomena as a result of the competitive surface actions and the stability of free radicals of poly-cyclic aromatics.
