The described development based on the consideration to replace for the manufacture of high-quality round steel bars the removal of metal at the surface of the demi-product and a number of subsequent operations by turning the rounds in the finishing shop of the rolling mill in order to manufacture at low cost especially low-crack and decarburization-free bars with slight dimensional deviations.
