As means of increasing available gas for peak seasons demand an oil gasification project developed jointly by Sun Oil Company and Thermal Research is currently being tested at Elizabethtown Gas Company. The Sun- Thermal unit is the first noncatalytic, continuous- process unit to make 1000 Btu gas in this country. The unit has a rated capacity of 2. 5 MMcfd. Capital expenditure is anticipated to be approximately 325,000 dollars.
