摘要：

Computerized Process Simulation is now a standard engineering tool for functions ranging from balancing process flowsheets to detailed computer aided design. This paper outlines typical engineering applications of process simulation in the pulp and paper industry. Specific examples are cited where the use of process simulation has affected the direction of process design by aiding in the evaluation of process performance and in the calculation of project economics.
