The electromagnetic processes in ferromagnetic materials were discussed. Hysteresis was represented by vector generalization of the classic Preisach model. A distinction between Ohmic conductors and insulators was also made. The corresponding initial and boundary value problems for the system of Maxwell were found to be parabolic and hyperbolic in nature. The discontinuities in the constitutive law corresponding to the occurence of free boundaries were also included for the discussion.
