Determination of the form of the dependence of the reduced coordinate on the ray coordinate for a sound beam excited by a plane source on traveling-wave source in a plane-layered medium in which the velocity varies according to the law c(x) equals C//0 left bracket 1 plus x/mH right bracket **m (mH is the space scale of the inhomogeneity) is described.
