To determine the characteristic times of segmental mobility for spin-labeled polystyrene (PS) in dilute solutions a technique based on a model of anisotropic rotation of a spin label on the polymer chain was used. The results obtained by ESR are in good agreement with those based on the polarized luminescence and dielectric relaxation methods. A conclusion was reached that approximately the same number of monomer units participate in relaxation processes of PS in solution when recorded by EST, by polarized luminescence and by dielectric relaxation techniques.
