摘要
The evaluation of industrial heats in 304 stainless steel containing up to 0. 061% As showed that no loss of arsenic occurred during the fabrication process and confirmed that the behavior and properties were identical to that of a standard heat. It is shown that the presence of arsenic as a residual element in stainless steels used in the food processing industry does not constitute a health hazard. It is concluded that arsenic is an innocuous residual element in general purpose stainless steels.
