MICROCOMPUTER-CONTROLLED PROGRAMMABLE TV RECEIVER.

A new programmable color TV for Europe has been developed by adopting an 8-bit one-chip microcomputer. The main features of this receiver are: 1) Precise operation according to schedule, a quartz clock and back-up battery (in case of power failure); 2) Retention of as many as 20 TV programs, and display of the program list on the TV screen; 3) Automatic turn-off of the main power 3 to 4 minutes after the end of all broadcasting programs; 4) Program reservation and adjustment of volume, color and brightness by an infrared remote control system; and 5) Automatic channel selection by an auto-search tuning system.
