The most recent development in the study of controlled fusion is the use of charged particles accelerators. After an examination of the parameters of the energy source (the cluster of charged particles) required for ignition of the target-fuel, the author describes the techniques enabling the particle clusters possessing the required characteristics to be accelerated, localized and transported.
