Holmen Paper, Stockholm, has begun a rebuild of PM 52 at its Braviken newsprint plant near Norrköping in Sweden. The company is also revamping the thermomechanical pulp (TMP) line that feed the machine. the TMP upgrade is expected to increase tensile strength 10% and push up the line's capacity from 500 tonnes/day to 600 tonne/day. The company will also replace two old presses in the reject refining system with a new screw press, as well as installing a third line in the screening room.
