摘要：
The use of semiconductor instruments significantly raises the efficiency with which electric power objects are controled. The paper considers the possibility of replacing the contact equipment for controlling capacitor banks by thyristor cutout switches, and the effect of the parameters of the electrical network on the choice of thyristors for thyristor cutout switches is estimated.
