Water supply wells for reverse osmosis plants

The following conclusions are made with regard to reverse osmosis water wells: use of reverse osmosis will increase in the future, Increased membrane efficiencies will allow for treatment of brackish water at lower osmotic pressures and thus lead to the need for wells in deeper, more brackish, aquifers; development of brackish ground water sources of supply entails extensive design considerations; and due to regulatory restrictions on other types of concentrate disposal systems, injection wells have become a common means of concentrate disposal, especially for reverse osmosis treatment plants that process large volumes of water.
