摘要
RTM has become a standard imaging tool for areas where velocity contrast and/or structural dip call for it. Although still somewhat challenging, TTI RTM is now the preferred tool for imaging complex geology. Our implementation of 3D TTI reverse time migration is based on an extension of the pseudospectral method, called the pseudo-analytic method. The pseudo-analytic solution provides accurate, nondispersive wave propagation with a simple second-order time-stepping scheme, and can be tailored to propagate scalar waves in VTI and TTI media. The result is an efficient implementation of TTI RTM, without pseudoshear-wave artifacts normally associated with VTI and TTI formulations. Results from synthetic examples show that the pseudo-analytic TTI migration provides accurate images. As part of a TTI imaging toolbox, it produces high-quality images on 3D wide-azimuth data. © 2010 Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
