A case study on the response to regional housing supply using concrete block: Housing supply by cement major company in Indonesia and philippines

This paper aims to understand the situation of regional housing supply under globalization. The target was the CB housing supplied by the cement major company, in different regions. The field study, interviews, visiting the construction and manufacture site, collection of drawing, were conducted at Indonesia and Philippines, where the company operating. The compared items were CB unit's dimension, manufacturing machine, structure system of the wall and the foundation. It was figured out that the company shares some information however the CB dimension, method of forming, the structure system have some differences. These differences were decided by regional staff in response to the local housing production and construction.
