摘要
The fluid dynamic behavior of an anaerobic fermentation bioreactor through three-dimensional numerical simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics with the software OpenFOAM® has been studied. Two operating conditions were evaluated: one with a downward recirculating regime and another in the opposite direction. Results obtained with upward recirculating flow indicate an optimization of the process in this regime. This implies a larger turbulent region in the bioreactor and a better mixing without compromising the integrity of the flocs.
