A discussion is given regarding on how the pulp and paper industry can effectively recruit new engineers where an important note to be considered is that the new generation has different emphasis on work-life balance. It is that new workers are thinking about on how the stresses of their job affect their personal life and general standard of living. Young engineers may also affect their decision on their choice of career with some variety of factors as with the industry growth, the potential for new technologies, and career advancement. Thus, the pulp and paper industry must be able to meet the career needs and wants of these young engineers by distinguishing them.
