Various perovskite-type catalysts (KVO3, LaCoO3and LaMnO3) were prepared by Sol-Gel method. The catalysts were characterized by SEM, BET and XRD, and the LaCoO3had the largest specific surface area. Activities of these three catalysts in the catalytic oxidation of carbon black were investigated by temperature programmed oxidation tests on a thermogravimetric apparatus. Coats-Redfern method was applied for dynamic analysis. Comparison of the thermogravimetric curves of these three catalysts showed that the ignition temperature, the peak temperature and the burn-off temperature of carbon black's catalytic oxidation over each catalyst can be listed in increasing sequence as: KVO333. The dynamic analysis showed that the activation energy and pre-exponential factor of carbon black's catalytic oxidation over each catalyst can be listed in increasing sequence as: LaMnO333. Although KVO3had the largest activation energy, it showed the highest activity because of its low molten point, which greatly improved the contact between carbon black and catalyst at high temperature.
