摘要
To analyze the probability distribution of lightning current amplitude, firstly, we adopted thunder and lightning location data from 1999 to 2008 to analyze the features and difference of probability of lightning current amplitude in plains and hills of Guangzhou, then, we analyzed the reasons, finally, we calculated the typical tower of transmission line's probability of shielding failure and back flashover on the basis of different distribution of lightning current amplitude on plains and hills. The results show that the major causes which result in higher lightning current amplitude in plain than that in mountain area are soil resistivity and elevation. Besides, some deviations exist when lightning current amplitude is measured by the lightning location system, which will have impact on the research results.
