Study on control method for semi-active suspension vehicle via magnetorheological damper based on preview

Based on the wheelbase preview control, a preview control method for magnetorheological fluid semi-suspension vehicle is presented, considering the relationship between the control current and output damping force of the magnetorheological damper. The dynamic characteristics of vehicle semi-active suspension have been investigated in different vehicle speed by computer simulation. The result demonstrates that this method improves the control performance of suspension system, reduces the shock response and vibration amplitude and improves the ride of vehicle.
