Rotor blade mode analysis is the foundation of knowing structural dynamic characteristic of wind turbine, and it is very important to obtain accurately the natural frequency and the mode shape of wind turbine. The experimental modal analyses of single-blade rotors, 2-blade rotors, 3-blade rotors, 5-blade rotors and centre-fixed disc adopting were performed, and their real mode shapes were gained in the paper. The results show that there are more differences of the mode shape configuration and the natural frequency between the single-blade and multi-blade rotors. The structural dynamic characteristics of the whole rotors couldn't be replaced by single blade's ones. Compared the multi-blade rotors and centre-fixed disc, the mode shape of centre-fixed disc can be used to study the mode shape of multi-blade rotors according to definite homologous relations.
