摘要：

Some problems in the researches on constitutive model of soils in Chinese geotechnical engineering field are pointed out. The difference between the theoretical model and the curve fitting is interpreted. The importance of correct determination of model parameters is emphasized. The necessity and reasonableness of hypothesis in the development of constitutive model of soil are analyzed. The objective and just examination approaches of models are demonstrated. The important role of soil tests in development of model is specially highlighted.
