Direct growth of boron nitride nanotubes film on nickel substrate

摘要
Boron nitride nanotubes film was directly gown onto nickel substrate by nitriding the ball-milled mixture of amorphous boron and magnesium oxide powder at 1150°C. The product was fully characterized by X-ray diffraction, scan electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer. The growth mechanism was also reasonably discussed.
