摘要：

The labels data and data analytics generate excitement as well as dismay. The excitement flows from combining known resources with open data inputs from practically everywhere. Dismay is understandable, as merging data analytics into discipline-specific research practices now seems inevitable. Data-driven techniques challenge faculty members to reassess their overall methodologies, and they add new demands on their time.
