High-Power Ka-Band Gyrotron Rectifier for Advanced Systems of Wireless Power Transmission

摘要
Based on the experience of developing high-power gyrotrons, we are developing the concept of high-power high-frequency microwave signal rectifiers that use the principle of electron-cyclotron resonance (ECR) interaction. The performed numerical simulation shows the possibility of creating a Ka-band ECR rectifier with an input power of 10-12 kW and an efficiency of converting direct current energy of over 90%. The output direct voltage is over 30 kV. Possibilities of further increasing the frequency and power of the received radiation are being discussed. Such devices, together with gyrotrons as generators of transmitted microwave radiation, can become the basis for advanced systems of wireless power transmission.
