Research on the flow path design method of axial flow compressor of gas turbine

With the improvement of localization rate of gas turbine, one main task is to develop a flow path design software of axial flow compressor of gas turbine with independent intellectual property rights. After analyzing the design method and process, the iterative convergence parameters were proposed which employed reaction degree combined with pressure ratio and mean radius combined with entropy increment as convergence judgment criteria for calculations of overall compressor and every stage separately. Thermodynamic parameters and geometric dimensions of each stage were calculated. Furthermore, an axial flow compressor flow path preliminary design program was developed under the environment of Visual C#. The program output a macro file based on SolidWorks API functions which could build three dimensional parametric model of the designed compressor automatically. Comparing calculated results from the program with the actual parameters of an axial flow compressor of a certain type of gas turbine, the calculated values of axis section geometric dimensions are fairly close to the actual ones, which demonstrate this program meet the requirements of engineering applications. © 2012 Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.
