摘要
Reactive protocols are introduced with an objective to react only on the demand such as a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) contains several different kinds of protocol including the ad hoc distance vector routing algorithm (AODV). Dynamic source routing protocol (DSR) is a simple and efficient routing protocol designed specially for use in multihop wireless ad hoc networks of mobile nodes. DSR uses source routing and there is no periodic messaging and no reaction to unconcerned changes is present. Temporally ordered routing algorithm (TORA) is basically an algorithm under reactive protocols for routing data across wireless mesh networks or in MANET. It provides multiple, loop free routes and requires minimal routing functionality and minimizes algorithmic reactions. AODV uses a distance vector algorithm with a destination sequence number for route updating. One benefit of using reactive protocol is that the bandwidth consumption is saved because sending information requires the use of some bandwidth.
