Centrifugal induction casting machines permit rationally priced but nonetheless process-stable casting of near-net-contour components from a large range of metals and alloys. Of particular interest are casters for processing of demanding materials, including titanium and intermetallic compounds such as λ-TiAl and FeAl. This article describes the processes and the system hardware necessary for production of ultra-small components in low production runs and for series production of large components.
