Dynamical test on flexural and shear modulus of composite wood panels

摘要
To get a fast and accurate estimate of flexural and shear modulus of wood based composite panel a torsional-bending vibration method based on transversal vibration was employed. The method was used for testing the flexural and shear modulus of oriental strand board (OSB). Results show that the correlation coefficient of estimating equations is about 0.9 and that the method can be used to estimate the flexural and shear modulus of wood based composite panel. The factors influencing the dynamical test were also studied. It is suggested that in the dynamical test the unit area pressure of clamping be about 200 kPa, test span be above 610 mm and two tests need to be conducted respectively at two width sides.
