摘要
The study investigates tribofilm distribution and tribology performance on piston ring-cylinder liner surfaces under realistic internal combustion (IC) engine conditions. By examining the effects of load, temperature, and oil film thickness ratio, the research reveals that the tribofilm is significantly greater on the cylinder liner surface compared to the piston ring surface. The findings highlight that a specific excitation pressure is necessary for tribofilm formation. An oil film thickness ratio of 1.8041 is evaluated as an accurate boundary for tribofilm distribution on the cylinder liner surface. These insights provide valuable data for designing piston ring-cylinder liner interfaces and improving IC engine performance.
