摘要
The raw material boron mud, as a solid waste in a borax factory in Dashiqiao, China, contains some minerals like olivine of 54.0% (in mass fraction, the same below), magnesite of 29.5%, and phlogopite of 5.6%. The thermodynamic analysis indicates that all the minerals in the boron mud powder can be dissolved in sulfuric acid, and the total reaction heat is -150.81 kJ/mol at 298.15 K. The kinetics analysis of dissolving the boron mud powderr at 313, 333 and 353 K for 0.5-4 h reveals that the process of dissolving boron mud in sulfuric acid follows internal diffusion-control and chemical reaction-control procedures.
