摘要
Ammonia, which is attracting attention as a future eco-friendly fuel, has great advantages in handling and storage due to its material characteristics compared to hydrogen. However, when ammonia is used as a main fuel of marine engine, the small amount of diesel injection is needed to ignite ammonia fuel injected. In this study, in order to examine the applicability of ammonia as a marine engine fuel, an experiment was conducted according to the change of diesel injection strategy in a high-pressure ammonia direct injection marine engine with diesel ignition. The optimal diesel injection timing advance for ignition of ammonia is BTDC 10 CAD at 900 rpm lowload conditions. When the amount of diesel fuel injection for ignition decreased by 4.1 % points in energy fractions, the power output decreased by 5.9 % points and the unburned ammonia emissions increased by 12.5 % points.
