Rock burst is a serious geostatic disaster in the deep and high stress underground environment. Although many efforts have been attempted, this dynamic problem still needs much more researches on its mechanism and generating process. In this paper, based on the linear elastic energy theory, the equilibrium state Eq. of rock mass was deduced. Then, a 3D model alongside the real engineering geology dimensions was built in finite element software FLAC3D, to accept the constitutive parameters. After simulation, the elastic strain energy contours was predicted. According to the energy value and its distribution, the rock burst areas can be confirmed. © Sila Science. All Rights Reserved.
