摘要
Recycle of process hydrogen can reduce hydrogen consumption, which is an effective approach for reducing hydrogen consumption in oil refinery. An improved problem table (IPT) was used to determine the minimum flowrate of hydrogen utility and also the optimal inlet flowrate of purifier. IPT can successfully determine the flowrates of multiple resources (hydrogen and purified hydrogen) and identify waste hydrogen streams. The results show that the limitation reported in literature that only one process hydrogen stream can be allocated to the purifier can be overcome by the proposed approach in this study, and the flowrates of hydrogen and waste hydrogen streams are reduced by 8.6% and 7.2%, respectively. ©, 2015, Zhejiang University.
