摘要
In order to test the shielding efficiency(SE) of small cavity, we investigated the principle of nested frequency-stirred reverberation chamber test method, and deduced a calculation method of SE based on the definition of scattering parameters. According to this method, we built an SE testing system in a big reverberation chamber, and then measured the SE of a small enclosure of 1 m×0.8 m×0.7 m using horn and monopole antennas. According to the obtained S21, the frequency stirring mode is effective on changing the electromagnetic field. The measured S22 shows that the tested antenna reflection coefficient in the reverberation chamber is always higher than its true value. Further processing of the data shows that the test result is independent of the location of receiving antennas. Additionally, the improved SE calculation can eliminate the influence from antenna type, which greatly improves repeatability of the test method.
