摘要
To better implement bus green-wave control in the urban arterial, the setting methods of bus exclusive phase in the intersection is studied. The advantages of introducing bus exclusive phase in the bus green-wave control are analyzed: bus exclusive phase can control through and turning buses simultaneously in the arterial. The setting methods of the number and the inserting of bus exclusive phase are discussed according to the distribution patterns of bus lines in the intersection to ensure the priority of through and turning buses. The determining methods of the sequence of bus exclusive phases are discussed by searching the ideal distance between intersections to increase the bandwidth of coordinated direction. Finally, the main arterial Huaihai Road in the city of Huaibei is chosen for a case study. The results show that after introducing bus exclusive phase, the bus green-wave control system can fully consider the bus operation characteristics and provide bandwidth simultaneously for through and turning buses along the arterial, and thus the efficiency of bus operation is improved.
