A power flow algorithm based on path matrix is developed for the layered three-phase distribution network, which divides a large and complicated distribution network into several small and simple subnetworks and considers the distribution transformer as a special layer in the calculation of three- phase unbalanced power flow. Detailed transformer models, considering the winding connection modes, phase shifting, off-nominal tapping, winding impedance asymmetry and neutral point grounding impedance, are developed, which avoid the singularity of transformer admittance matrix in traditional models. Case study for IEEE test system proves the proposed algorithm and transformer models are correct and reasonable.
