摘要
This article presents the scenario and architectural framework of an integrated network control system for the convergence of terrestrial networks (TN) and non-terrestrial networks (NTN) in the control plane. The integrated network control architectural functions support the design and orchestration of end-to-end network services over TN and NTN segments. This system is capable of performance monitoring and resource control of both TN and NTN segments to ensure that performance-guaranteed, high-quality network services can be provided despite fluctuations in workloads and network conditions. This integrated network control architecture promotes interoperability among the control planes of TN and NTN segments, even when they are managed by different organizations. © 2017 IEEE.
