摘要
In order to meet the urgent needs of developing large commercial aero-engines which satisfies the airworthiness requirements, the fundamental methodology and development progress of probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) of life limited parts in recent years were discussed. The PRA technologies, including their processes and characteristics, were described to show their compliance with the life-limited parts requirements set forth in section 33.70 of federal aviation regulations (FAR). Moreover, the core methodology and basic database structure of PRA were analyzed. It indicates that the PRA methodology should be established on the basis of combining the probabilistic fracture mechanism with accurate databases.
