ACC has appointed Tom Gibson senior v.p./advocacy, and Sharon Kneiss v.p./Chemstar chemical panels, including ACC's chlorine and plastics divisions. Gibson has been chosen due to his works in Capitol Hill, at EPA, and in the Washington policy arena, while Kneiss has experience in government, regulatory, and industry affairs. Gibson will oversee the areas of federal, state, and local government relations, global affairs, regulatory and technical affairs, and basic activities of the ACC. Gibson served as senior v.p./government affairs at Portland Cement Association (PCA) and as chief of staff for EPA. From 1993 to 1995, Gibson served private-sector clients in regulatory and legislative affairs with Don Clay Associates. Kneiss has 30 years experience in the policy and regulatory area and served as v.p./regulatory affairs for the American Forest and Paper Association.
