摘要
Some of the potential opportunities that corporate social responsibility (CSR) is expected to offer for companies to earn profits under prevailing global economic recession are discussed. It expected that emerging markets will provide significant opportunities for companies that are suffering from economic crisis throughout the world, including the US. The sustainability and economic growth of businesses will depend on their capacity to adapt according to the prevailing conditions in the emerging markets. Companies will need to invest in emerging markets, such as Asia and adopt the CSR strategy to improve economic conditions of the poor and eliminate the economic differences existing between the poor and the rich. They will need to undertake a number of significant initiatives to improve economic and social standards of such economies. Micro-finance is one of these initiatives that will represent the future of responsible business, helping poorer countries to record growth.
